• Continuously explore innovation related to other industries, including research papers, patents to stay alert and informed on what is new in the world based on the given needs from the company
• Able to feed the exploration to conceptualization to propose narrowed down solutions and propose the proof of concept to stream down to the selected best option
• Good understanding of the design language to be able to translate into technical requirements to propose a viable option
• Evaluate and input on innovation pipeline prioritization
• Evaluate and input on innovation project timeline and feasibility based on innovation project complexity and new capability assessment
• Manage and execute on Innovation projects with understanding of company’s business requirements, to maximize business impact and balance manufacturing impact
• Actively participate in trade shows to identify innovation opportunities for Pandora
• Collaborate on incubation of new jewelry innovations that do not exist today, as required
• Develop material innovations within pre-agreed timeline to enable new product development or manufacturing processes
• Manage pilot initiatives and coordinate with Pre-production/ Production team to test and refine innovation projects
• Support innovation pilot execution and change management
• Evaluate innovation project success and handover innovations developed to Pre-production / Production
• Provide input on production issues with new innovation as required
• Manage the teams to work with iterative mindset and agile approach to work on projects
Requirements
We love that you are…
• Master’s degree or above in Material Engineer or related fields.
• Strong knowledge in materials science or materials engineering, specially in Leather, Glue and Polymer materials for Jewelry product manufacturing.
• Strong experience in Creative sourcing processes in non-metal materials fields (Leather bracelet, Glue, Polymer, Cotton cord, Ceramic etc.) and Materials Engineering relate to the jewelry industry.
• Experience in new develop innovative materials for new product development.
