About this position
The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring effective communication within the team and with clients, delegating tasks, improving processes, and conducting research to identify threats. The role also involves developing threat detection strategies and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of security trends.
Responsibilities
• Communication: Act as the primary communication link between the team, client and management. Regularly report on team performance, project progress, and any issues or concerns that need to be addressed at the managerial level.
• Task Delegation: Delegate tasks to team members based on their skills and workload, ensuring equitable distribution of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate team processes to identify areas for improvement, increase efficiency, and improve overall team performance.
• Conducting proactive and iterative research on networks, data, and systems to identify unrecognized threats.
• Developing, implementing, and refining hunting strategies and techniques to enhance threat detection.
• Creating and updating detailed threat reports, including information about the nature of threats, how they operate, and recommendations for mitigation steps.
• Communicating with other analysts and responders to understand the context and potential consequences of threats.
• Keeping up-to-date knowledge of latest threat trends and attack tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Requirements
• Hold bachelor degree (S-1 degree) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunication from reputable university with minimum IPK of 3.0, bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or System Information Audit is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in security operation center.
• Passionate to learn, hardworking, good team player.
• Passionate to Information Security field.
• Willing to work with a shifting mechanism.
• Having knowledge in Operating System (Windows/UNIX)
• Having knowledge in Networking Protocol and implementation (TCP/IP, OSI Layer, Routing)
• Having knowledge in Information Security
• Excellent organization, project management, time management, and communication skills.
• Having either two (2) of professional level cybersecurity certification is a mandatory.
