Distribution & Logistics Section Manager
About this position
Responsibilities
• Executing mid to long-term strategic plan for Supply Chain in Thailand with support from APAC SCM Leadership Team.
• Drive operational excellence in warehouse and equipment management by assessing current state and establishing the right way of working - people, process, and system.
• Improve performance management by having a balanced KPIs and establish short interval controls.
• Partner with QA/RA to enhance current Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and associated quality standards.
• Coach, upskill and lead a dynamic team for success through training and development.
• Manage and oversee all warehouse operations from inbound, inventory management, outbound and reverse logistics.
• Accountable for inventory accuracy through periodic cycle count, annual stock take programs and resolve discrepancies diligently when they arise.
• Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as GR/GI processing, inventory accuracy through, cost control, utilization rates, and fulfillment ratios.
• Enhance warehouse processes, implement assigned projects (e.g., SAP upgrades, automation, cost reduction initiatives, RFQ, and SFDC enhancements).
• Drive continuous improvements to boost operational efficiency and service quality.
• Address and promptly resolve daily operational issues for frictionless execution.
• Instill proper control and management of assets to ensure availability and reliability to support business needs.
• Ensure operations comply to GDP standards for storage and handling of medical equipment and components.
• Work closely with cross-functional team (Sales & Service) and responds to inquiries, concerns, and requests from internal and external parties.
• Manage commercial and operational engagement with appointed local transporter(s).
• Conduct regular performance review meetings with the service provider.
• Ensure service provider delivers their services in accordance with service level and KPIs set out in the service agreement and Statement of Works (SOW).
• Ensure transporters comply to GDP standards.
• Track and manage logistics costs and ensure not exceeding budget.
• Where appropriate, perform cost containment.
Requirements
• Proven experience in distribution and logistics management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
