Project Engineer
About this position
The Project Engineer will oversee MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects in the pharmaceuticals industry, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, and regulations while managing budgets and timelines.
Responsibilities
• Provide function of project engineer (MEP – Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing including HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire protection and electrical systems) or projects in pharmaceuticals industry.
• Monitor and control works to ensure compliance with designs, specifications, regulations, permits and industry best practice within approved budgets and timeline.
• Review and comment on drawings and systems, including advise contractors on construction technical specifications.
• Analyst drawings, specifications and statement of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning.
• Maintain good engineering knowledge within the disciplines of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and associated works.
• Conduct/attend regular meetings (on work progress, coordination, design, etc.) with main contractor to discuss key issues related to the project and take effective corrective actions.
• Monitor project schedule and oversee performance to ensure on time, quality and on budget project execution.
• Prepare and submit weekly inspection reports, monthly progress reports including status of variance/change claims, schedules, up-coming activities & safety records to supervisor and prepare other reports and documents as needed – English Language.
• Support the planning, preparation and witnessing of testing and commissioning activities.
• Maintain good documentation relating to the works, daily tasks and manage construction document control systems.
• Ensure that the health and safety requirements are provided and that they comply with authorities regulations.
• Other task following supervisor’s assignment or company policy.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Able to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• At least 5 years in direct experience of MEP Companies on construction project of pharmaceutical or food industry.
• Good attitude, Self-motivated, dynamic, hardworking and able to work under pressure.
• Good capability in using Microsoft software (word, excel, powerpoint etc.)
• Good capability in using auto CAD.
• Must have ability to effectively communicate in English, with good comprehension both verbal written.
