Since 1996, we have gradually built up our businesses in Indonesia from a simple trader to a large scale midstream player. We produce various types of agribusiness products ingredients such as cocoa, coffee and many more with more than 400,000 farmers, collectors, and suppliers throughout the archipelago. We are the largest exporter of Robusta coffee and the leading exporter of Arabicas in Indonesia, also the largest exporter of cocoa products. We recognize that communities need support to improve quality and yields, particularly in the face of climate change. We, therefore, run some of the most extensive sustainable sourcing programs in Indonesia.
We provide direct employment to almost 1,200 employees and over 2,000 seasonal workers who work closely with our suppliers from Sumatera and Java to Sulawesi.
About this position
The position will be an extension to the Beverage, Dairy & Desserts innovation team based out of Singapore CSC. The candidate will be responsible for application, product development and innovation activities in the area of beverage including dairy based beverages, desserts category, working closely with the central team.
Responsibilities
• Support activities focused on developing beverage concepts and related product applications suitable mainly for food service and consumer-packaged goods.
• Collaborate with category managers & solution specialist to design the best new product application that meets customer’s expectation.
• Adhere to the new product development SOPs that meet the specific sensorial, stability, food safety, industry standards, and regulatory demands of our customers.
• Manage the scale-up of bench top formulations to pilot plant and plant trials.
• Maintain thorough records of factory scaled-up product formulations, specifications, and all related documents.
• Support category managers and solution specialist to identify & qualify locally available ingredient supply for finished product formulations and evaluate different options on bench top and production trials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum degree in any Science discipline preferably Food Science & Technology or relevant field with minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the field of beverage, dairy, frozen desserts and other sweet application.
• Good understanding of dry blending production process. Wet product processing knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with external customers and colleagues. Fluent in English.
