The Sustainability Manager will play a pivotal role in driving ofi’s sustainability agenda in Timor, responsible for designing and implementing sustainability strategies that enhance coffee yields, reduce carbon emissions, and align with international sustainability standards.
• Manage and ensure success of certification programs, which includes empowering field staff and farmers in adopting regenerative agriculture practices, including organic production model where applicable, as well as document management.
• Build connections to private sectors, institutions, and government for collaboration and other sustainability opportunities.
• Provide expert technical guidance to optimize coffee yields and minimize environmental impact while adhering to ofi’s sustainability framework and customer requirements.
• Oversee crop estimation processes, ensuring data accuracy and generating actionable insights to inform business decisions.
• Champion the implementation of Regenerative Agriculture practices in Timor, aligning with global objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to develop and execute sustainability initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders to foster trust and knowledge sharing.
• Bachelor’s degree in either Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Agroecology, Environmental Science, or Agroforestry is preferable.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the context, with a proven track record in managing team, yield improvement, regenerative agriculture, and agroforestry. A coffee experience is preferable.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Fluency in Bahasa and English is preferred.
