The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for designing and implementing trade marketing strategies that align with overall marketing and sales objectives, while analyzing market trends and managing promotional activities.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement trade marketing strategies that align with the overall marketing and sales objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify opportunities for growth.
• Develop and manage in-store promotions, merchandising, and point-of-sale (POS) materials.
• Collaborate with sales teams to create tailored promotional plans for different retail channels.
• Oversee the execution of trade marketing campaigns and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Provide the sales team with the tools and materials needed to effectively sell products to retailers and distributors.
• Organize training sessions for sales teams on new product launches, promotions, and trade activities.
• Manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing activities and adjust strategies as needed.
• Conduct regular market analysis to understand consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Use insights to refine trade marketing strategies and ensure they are responsive to market changes.
• Work closely with product development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product launches and promotional activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key retailers and distribution partners to optimize product placement and promotions.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or sales, preferably within the FMCG or retail sector.
• Strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
