About this position
Responsibilities
• Oversee the entire quality assurance (QA) process for raw materials, production processes, and finished products in the textile business.
• Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and policies to ensure product consistency and compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Lead and manage the QA team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and performance.
• Conduct performance evaluations and ensure continuous improvement of the team.
• Ensure all products and processes comply with relevant international standards such as ISO, OEKO-TEX, and other textile-specific certifications.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and certification agencies to maintain compliance.
• Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Implement quality control (QC) checkpoints across production stages to minimize defects.
• Lead initiatives to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Liaise with customers to understand and meet their quality expectations.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure raw material quality aligns with specifications.
• Address customer complaints and ensure effective corrective actions are taken.
• Prepare and present QA performance reports to senior management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality processes, testing results, and certifications.
• Identify potential risks in the production process and implement strategies to mitigate them.
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement preventive measures.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or related fields.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance within the textile or garment industry.
• At least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of textile materials, processes, and quality control techniques.
• Proficiency in QA methodologies such as Six Sigma, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using QA tools and software, as well as MS Office.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
