About this position

The Middleware Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of the company's hybrid middleware infrastructure, focusing on production support, optimal performance, availability, and security across on-premise and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the middleware infrastructure, including monitoring, problem-solving, deployment applications, patching, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Lead incident response and resolution, conducting thorough post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Implement proactive problem management strategies, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with application teams to resolve middleware-related issues and optimize application performance.
• Build, develop, and lead high-performing DBA and Middleware Administrator teams.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and training to enhance team capabilities.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization and cost-efficiency.
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect critical systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing production support teams in a complex IT environment.
• Deep expertise in Oracle middleware (WebLogic, Oracle SOA) and databases.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on building high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, OCI) in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and DevOps practices.
• Certifications in Oracle technologies or AWS.
