About this position
The IT Project Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s newest product by leading the successful implementation of credit card projects. This position involves developing and executing project plans, enhancing project management methodologies, and ensuring alignment between IT initiatives and the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, particularly within the financial services sector, with specialized expertise in credit card solutions. The job will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Responsibilities
Project Implementation
- Review business requirements and conduct data gathering and impact analysis.
- Coordinate with business units to translate requirements for IT or external service providers.
- Elicit, document, and secure approvals for requirements.
- Prepare/review test plans to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Lead teams in creating functional traceability matrices and test cases.
- Monitor and resolve test issues.
- Disseminate the approved test plan and strategy to the project team.
- Review documentation for compliance with the bank's SDLC and change management processes.
- Prepare/review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and implementation guidelines.
System Maintenance
- Implement enhancements for regulatory compliance and bank mandates.
- Support production problem resolution with IT or external vendors.
- Define parameter change requests in coordination with the Application Development team.
- Facilitate UAT for production fixes as needed.
- Conduct quality assurance and system integration testing based on application needs.
- Assist UAT teams with end-user testing.
- Consolidate test artifacts and secure necessary signoffs.
Project Management
- Define project scope and objectives.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Provide regular project updates to the team and stakeholders on strategy and progress.
- Monitor progress and adjust as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal resources and vendors for seamless project execution
Requirements
- Extensive years of IT experience, specializing in system implementation, programming, process engineering, the system development life cycle (SDLC), business analysis, and project management methodologies.
- Solid background in banking operations, specifically within credit cards, with expertise in at least one core credit card system or application, such as fraud detection, collections, customer service, or mobile app systems.
- Strong capabilities in business management and process design.
- Comprehensive knowledge of business operations, IT best practices, industry trends, and customer service standards.
- Skilled in developing test scenarios and analyzing test outcomes.
- Familiarity with various IT platforms and systems.
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
