R&D Specialist ( Biscuit Products)
About this position
The R&D Specialist (Biscuit Products) is responsible for developing new biscuit products and improving existing ones, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Develops new biscuit products and improvement of current products as assigned, from laboratory prototyping to commercial scale implementation.
• Prepares documentations such as raw material, in-process and finished goods specifications, HACCP needed for launch of product.
• Able to call and lead cross functional project meetings (complexity depends on decisions that need to be made during the meeting and requirement for presence of high ranking personnel.
• Participates and contributes to committees where they are members, e.g. Food Safety Team.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science and engineering or any related science field.
• Work Experience: 2-5 years of work experience in Biscuit Product Development.
• Able to communicate in English, both written and oral.
• Knows variety of types of industrial ingredients and understands their functionalities and applications.
• Good understanding and knows how to apply the basic and advance principles of food processing.
• Knows the different sensory evaluation methods, how and when to use and how to do statistical analysis of data and interpretation of results.
• Up to date knowledge on food laws, both local and international and applies to development work.
• Analytical thinking skills.
