About this position

Laboratory technicians will be responsible for conducting and interpreting analyses on all plant raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Lab technicians will conduct tests using a variety of machinery, lab equipment, and complex computer programs. Lab technicians must maintain laboratory equipment and records, submit reports to management on all permitted batches, and engage with other department personnel, production supervisors, and managers. This role will report directly to the QC Supervisor/QC Engineer in the Rayong Plant.

Responsibilities

• Analyze all incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and all finished products to ensure conformance to specifications. Approve or reject raw material or product based on analytical data.
• Maintain all applicable laboratory records regarding batch approval or rejection and communicate this data to management personnel as required.
• Ensure that equipment and instrument preventative maintenance, calibration, and standard evaluation operations are completed effectively at the necessary frequencies.
• Participate in the management team by conducting internal audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 (which include inspections of plants, goods, or documents such as work instructions), EHS audits, and customer audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure that all documentation is completed correctly.
• Assist on product investigations to help in the resolution of product quality or complaint issues and effectively communicate findings to the management team.
• Effectively communicate with other department personnel and management.
• Work under EHS rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Colleges or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Petrochemicals or related fields.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in laboratory or production process.
• Good work, discipline and hands-on.
• Computer literacy and fair command of English communication.
• Safety and Quality mindset.
• Familiar with chemical lab test equipment.
• Knowledge of SAP and Quality Management System, e.g. ISO/TS16949, ISO9001 or ISO14001 is preferred.
