Strategic Category Manager
About this position
Responsibilities
• Identify, evaluate, source and approve suppliers at the optimal pricing while remaining compliant.
• Actively drive the overall management of the allocated commodities and communicate well to key stakeholders via reports, KPI’s, presentations and meetings with senior Management.
• Fulfil the corporate procurement policy and procedures.
• Ensure Suppliers meet the Supplier code of conduct and drive the audit and improvements at the suppliers.
• Negotiate and establish Supply Agreements and Quality Agreement to ensure the formal aspects of the supplier relations.
• Perform benchmarking to ensure that we always have the lowest market costs within defined quality.
• Develop and work closely within the win-win relationship with the key suppliers towards world class and establish long-term contracts to ensure secure supply.
• Perform cost savings activities with present suppliers to ensure lowest market cost.
• Identify new suppliers and long-term trends in order to be able to develop, test and launch new products and exploit opportunities.
• Co-operate with other functions in house such as Marketing and R&D and participate in important project in order to make changes within the present and or new assortment.
• Lead projects related to allocated Suppliers.
• Lead problem solving activities with suppliers when challenges arise.
• Continuously perform follow-ups of KPI’s to ensure targeted goals. If needed coach and develop the supplier to achieve better outcomes.
• Maintain Molnlycke supplier related systems & databases.
• Investigate possible new solutions and or suppliers that can address Mölnlycke’s sustainability goals in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Requirements
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
• Driven and action-oriented with strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to facilitate and develop external partnerships with strategic suppliers in cooperation with key stakeholders.
