Process Engineer
About this position
The Process Engineer will apply GD&T principles, implement quality control methods, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality VCMA product manufacturing.
Responsibilities
• GD&T Expertise: Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) principles to the design and assembly of VCMA components, ensuring precise part design and fit during assembly.
• Process Quality Control: Implement and monitor process quality control methods to ensure high-quality VCMA product manufacturing. Utilize tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) to track and improve process performance.
• Industrial Engineering (IE): Identify opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity across VCMA assembly lines.
• Mechanical Drawings & Tolerance Analysis: Interpret mechanical drawings and perform stack-up tolerance analysis to ensure that parts are within tolerance limits and assemblies meet design requirements.
• QC 7 Tools Utilization: Employ Quality Control 7 Tools (e.g., cause-and-effect diagram, control charts) to assess and enhance the quality performance of VCMA processes.
• Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Lead and support root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and implement corrective actions to continuously improve manufacturing processes.
• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with the design and development teams to ensure that DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles are applied to VCMA projects, enabling seamless transition from design to production.
Requirements
• Knowledge in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) for part design and assembly.
• Process Quality Control Expertise, including methods to ensure high-quality product manufacturing.
• Industrial Engineering (IE) knowledge in optimizing processes, reducing waste, and improving productivity.
• Experience with Mechanical Drawings, interpretation, and technical specifications for process understanding.
• Proficiency in Stack-up Tolerance Analysis to evaluate the cumulative impact of part tolerances on assembly.
• Engineering Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
• At least 2 years of working experience in Process engineer.
• Good command of both written and spoken in English.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis.
• Problem-solving skills for continuous process improvement.
• Familiarity with QC 7 Tools to analyze and improve quality performance.
