About this position

The System Manager is responsible for overseeing IT management, particularly in ERP implementation and systems analysis, with a focus on the manufacturing industry and AS400 systems.

Responsibilities

• Proven experience of at least 10 years in IT management role, with a focus on ERP implementation and systems analysis. Preferably within manufacturing industry & AS400 (RPG) Background would be beneficial.
• At least 5 years of experience in team of people management.
• Hands-on experience in successful ERP implementations, including ERP customization and integration with existing systems.
• Knowledge of IT project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive IT innovation.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment while prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
• Deep knowledge and experience in managing ERP systems on the AS400 platform.
• Ability to maintain, improve, and develop ERP systems to support organizational operations.
• Skilled in analyzing and planning system migrations or upgrades from AS400 to modern platforms.
• Proficient in designing, developing, and managing SAP ECC6 systems and SAP S/4 HANA databases.
• Skilled in customizing and optimizing SAP systems to align with business needs.
• Experience in developing or implementing various SAP modules, such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP and HR.
• Ability to integrate SAP systems with other organizational systems.
• Expertise in designing and developing interfaces between legacy and modern systems.
• Expertise in utilizing tools for seamless data integration between systems.
• Business needs analysis and customization of system connections for smooth operation.
• Analyzing technology gaps between current systems and future-appropriate technologies.
• Strategic planning for system improvements and adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Understanding risk management and technological project management.
• Experience in communicating and collaborating with executives from international parent companies.
• Proficiency in presenting information, reporting, and coordinating international projects.
• Adaptability and understanding of global corporate cultures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Knowledge of related technologies such as Cloud Computing, Data Integration and Migration.
• Team management skills, building high-performance development teams, and promoting team skill development.
• Efficient system problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
• Visionary leadership qualities.
• Strong time and resource management skills.
• Good command in English and Japanese communication is preferable.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technology.
