Production Engineer ( Piping Section )
About this position
The Production Engineer (Piping Section) is responsible for analyzing production capacity, conducting machinery inspections, and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
• Production Capacity Analysis: Use production data to calculate machine load, develop balanced production plans, and recommend new machinery purchases to support production growth.
• Breakdown Analysis: Work closely with the Maintenance Team to analyze machinery breakdowns and identify preventive actions to avoid future issues.
• Machinery Inspections: Conduct regular patrol inspections of machinery and equipment, checking for abnormalities, ensuring safety standards are met, and resolving any operational concerns.
• Standard Time Creation: Develop standard times for processes involving new parts, utilizing time study methodology to calculate machine loading and manpower needs.
• Line Balancing: Implement line balancing techniques by timing operations and adjusting processes to ensure smooth production flow and effective resource allocation.
• Problem-Solving & Support: Collaborate with the technician team to address machinery breakdowns, defective workpieces, and other operational issues. Provide solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Defect Analysis: Use statistical mechanical methods to analyze defects, identify root causes, and develop corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a solid background in process improvement, production planning, or machine operations.
• Proficient knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics systems.
• Familiarity with time study methodologies and line balancing techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with teams across functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with logical thinking.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office and experienced with statistical methods for defect analysis and process optimization.
