About this position

The Senior Project Engineer will provide technical engineering expertise for new model projects, focusing on continuous improvement and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering expertise for new model projects.
• Consistently identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute activities/tasks to achieve strategic objectives.
• Collect data and apply business knowledge to solve a range of problems.
• Effectively lead project themes.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency, with expertise on some topics, within technical area.
• Evaluate drawings at each phase.
• Design change confirmation (DCMS).
• Develop and monitor new model project budgets for investment and expense.
• Develop and report new model evaluation materials at key stages of the project.
• Lead department DCMS meeting.
• Develop and distribute new model change points to the department.
• Lead safety, quality and process builds for new model development.
• Monitor equipment changes and fill out proper documentation.
• Prepare, communicate and control new model events through pre-production.
• Daily communication with sub-groups to confirm projects/tasks are being completed on schedule.
• Monitor incoming design changes.
• Confirm associate training events.
• Review process layout.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Excellent in English or Chinese.
• Work experience, minimum 3-10 years as new model engineer in Automotive industrial.
• Good knowledge of ISO /IATF16949.
• Good technical knowledge and technician skills.
• Good knowledge of customer requirement.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing environment (Injection, Painting, Chroming etc.).
• Possesses interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
• Ability to work independently.
