About this position

The R&D Engineer (Chemical Engineering) will focus on the development and testing of advanced coatings for cookware and related products. This role is ideal for a new graduate in chemical engineering who is eager to apply their knowledge in materials science and chemistry to develop innovative coating solutions that enhance product performance, durability, and quality.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the formulation, testing, and optimization of coatings for cookware and other products to improve durability, heat resistance, and performance.
• Conduct experiments to test new coating compositions, recording data and analyzing results to ensure the coatings meet product standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to adjust chemical formulations based on testing feedback and quality requirements, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Set up and conduct laboratory tests to evaluate coating properties such as adhesion, wear resistance, and chemical stability.
• Perform thorough analysis of test data, documenting findings to support the development of high-performance coatings.
• Work with Quality Assurance to establish coating performance standards and test protocols, ensuring consistency in testing and validation.
• Support the scaling up of coating processes from lab scale to production scale, ensuring that coating quality remains consistent in larger quantities.
• Work closely with production teams to transfer lab-scale formulations to the manufacturing environment, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improving coating application processes and reducing production costs.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in coating technologies, materials, and chemical engineering to incorporate innovative ideas into development projects.
• Engage in research activities focused on environmentally friendly coatings, exploring sustainable materials and processes to support company sustainability goals.
• Contribute to intellectual property generation by documenting new developments and assisting in patent preparation as required.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align coating specifications with customer expectations, production capabilities, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with QA team and related team to ensure coatings are compatible and meet product quality standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience work in the Manufacturing in R&D Engineer, Coating Engineer, and Project Management.
• Excellent ability to Manage time & resources to meet deadlines, Analytical and Problem solving skills.
• Good team player and work well with all levels of employees and able to work under pressure.
• Good in computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good command in communication skills in English will be advantage.
