Production Engineer (PVD)

The Production Engineer in the PVD division will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing processes before and after the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) phase. This entry-level role is ideal for a new graduate looking to apply their engineering skills in a production environment, ensuring product quality and process efficiency.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee surface preparation processes, ensuring that products are thoroughly cleaned, polished, and meet standards for PVD coating.
• Monitor and optimize cleaning and polishing techniques to achieve consistent surface quality, minimizing any defects in the coating process.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to verify surface quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product standards.
• Manage post-coating processes, including product assembly and packing, ensuring that final products meet quality and packaging specifications.
• Develop and maintain efficient workflows for assembly and packing to support production timelines and minimize delays.
• Coordinate with packing teams to ensure proper handling and packaging to prevent damage to coated surfaces.
• Analyze and improve pre-PVD and post-PVD processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Support trials and testing of new preparation, assembly, and packing techniques under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Identify areas for improvement in cleaning, assembly, and packing processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to resolve process-related issues impacting quality and productivity.
• Participate in project and planning meetings to provide input on surface preparation, assembly, and packaging requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of pre-PVD and post-PVD processes, including cleaning, assembly, and packing activities.
• Report on production metrics, such as throughput and defect rates, to supervisors and senior engineers.
• Document any process changes or improvements for easy reference and training purposes.
• Engage in training to build knowledge on surface preparation, cleaning methods, and assembly techniques.
• Stay updated on industry practices for product preparation and packing, exploring new tools and technologies for potential application.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement projects, providing observations and data from daily production activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Physics or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience work in the Manufacturing in Production Engineer, Process Engineer, and Improvement Engineer.
• New graduations are welcome.
• Ability to work as surface preparation quality, identify and implement efficiency improvements.
