Mechanical Engineer (PVD)
About this position
The Mechanical Engineer in the PVD division will be responsible for supporting the mechanical maintenance, design, and optimization of equipment in the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) production line. This role is ideal for a new graduate looking to apply their mechanical engineering knowledge, gain hands-on experience with industrial machinery, and contribute to the efficiency and reliability of PVD processes.
Responsibilities
• Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on mechanical equipment within the PVD production line.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery, identifying potential issues and supporting prompt repairs to minimize downtime.
• Work with senior engineers in troubleshooting mechanical issues, adjusting machinery as needed to maintain consistent performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze equipment performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
• Support mechanical modifications and upgrades to existing equipment, ensuring machinery meets production demands and quality standards.
• Assist in testing new mechanical components and modifications to improve reliability and efficiency in the PVD process.
• Help create and update mechanical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation for PVD equipment.
• Support in developing mechanical layouts and specifications for new equipment or modifications to existing machinery.
• Maintain organized records of equipment specifications, changes, and maintenance activities for easy reference and review.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment-related issues affecting product quality and efficiency.
• Participate in project meetings to provide insights from a mechanical engineering perspective, contributing to smooth production schedules and planning.
• Engage in on-the-job training to build expertise in mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and optimization techniques for PVD equipment.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and mechanical engineering advancements relevant to PVD and manufacturing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects by collecting data and providing insights to enhance mechanical reliability and process stability.
Requirements
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience work in the Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
• New graduations are welcome.
• Ability to work as equipment uptime to minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting.
• Good in control system accuracy to maintain high accuracy in process control settings.
• Good in computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good command in communication skills in English will be advantage.
