Production Engineer (Assembly)
About this position
The position is responsible for assisting with overall manufacturing operations of fabrication delivering quality products and meeting the production plan, customer requirements and company objectives. And in addition are assisting in supporting resources and manners of fabrication operations inclusive staff, budget, machine, equipment, processes, method, performance, and improvement to meet production quality and targets. Focus on support and drive the fabrication team, machines and process capability and improvement, productivity, and staff management.
Responsibilities
• Get information of production planning and specify target of manufacturing support in fabrication function both daily and weekly for operating.
• Work with fabrication team for production program and drive and support to meet plan with meeting specified quality and targets, customer requirements, beyond their expectation and delivery.
• Follow up and closely monitor operations performance to meet standards, criteria, procedures, cost effectiveness with safety, environment care and labor relations, disciplinary and work regulations.
• Ensure that fabrication process has performed in compliance with the direction of fabrication manager on smart team and production systems as well as company management systems & standards compliance, including self-quality assurance, maintenance, and improvement.
• Get subordinate involvement within function or with other its actions to ensure outstanding performance and achieve company set objectives and report it performance to superior.
• Support on production improvement or alternative technique.
• Support on technical team for continues improvement of fabrication products with tools, equipment, and machines.
• Ensure the team follows periodical training, 5’S and safety patrol.
• Ensure the technical / technology skills of staff are adequate in performing tasks and maintain work ability.
• Manage on machines and process capability and improvement as well as effectiveness productivity and staff management.
• Report overall fabrication performance to superior with recommendation.
• Support and guideline of staff disciplinary, training, skill development and motivation as well as being a good leader, example, consultancy and people management.
• Support on problem solving and prevention.
• Encourage and develop staff competency and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree of Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related engineering or other major applicable for production.
• A minimum 3-year experience in Industrial management or Production control.
• Ability to use CAD program.
• Proficient in CNC program.
• Good command in English.
• Proficient in G code and PLC is advantage.
