Quantity Surveyor
About this position
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing costs and contracts in construction projects, ensuring that financial aspects are handled efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Carry out duties in accordance with contract or as directed by Project Manager and Team Leaders.
• Prepare indicative cost estimates, preliminary cost estimates, and detail cost estimates for each design phase (Cost Plan).
• Participate in project meetings in connection with Value Engineering.
• Prepare project Bill of Quantities (BOQ) with complete scope of works and unit rate pricing.
• Prepare tender documents including Blank of Quantities (BOQ) and draft contracts condition and TOR for bidding to Contractor/Supplier.
• Liaise and Co-ordinate with Designer and Contractor/Supplier regarding tender query and response during tendering process.
• Liaise and assist with Client during tender bids opening, evaluation, analysis and clarification with Contractor/Subcontractor/Supplier.
• Liaise and assist Client for Direct Purchase; tendering and procurement.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or any related field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience related to cost estimate, cost management, payment certification.
• Good Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Points).
• Good knowledge computer software in AutoCAD.
