About this position

We are seeking a motivated Intern to join our team and assist in Welding. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for active students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Assist experienced welders with welding and fabrication tasks
• Learn and perform basic welding operations, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding
• Help with the inspection and quality control of welds to ensure they meet industry standards
• Support the maintenance of welding equipment and tools
• Participate in safety meetings and follow all safety protocols and guidelines
• Document welding activities and assist in preparing reports
• Work with the engineering team to understand project requirements and specifications

Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Education:
• Active Vocational High School, majoring in Welding, Mechanical, Materials Science, or any related field
• Internship placement is available at McDermott Batam with a minimum duration of 2 months and a maximum of 3 months
• Applicants should not be participating in another internship program
• Applicants should have strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions
