About this position

Raw Material Development Manager is responsible for procuring, developing, and qualifying new RMs to support various projects, ensuring robust RM qualification plans and compliance with internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure development and implementation of new RM to address product design requirements, and site manufacturing capability (PCH/CHB)
• Responsible for developing RM Micro Risk Assessments (MRAs) to achieve flawless execution for the approved RM Specifications & Nutrition
• Implement new RM to fully comply with related quality and food safety standard (e.g. MQM, HRCI, Mycotoxin), required nutrition STD and regulatory requirements
• Understand RM qualification work processes and provide the suggestions for work process improvement to drive effectiveness and efficiency
• Provide technical leadership in leading the 2nd source qualification for Supply Continuity and Security projects by collaborating with cross-functions and RMD team to obtain aligned project direction, activities and timeline
• Develop robust RM qualification protocol vs. project targets and complete RM qualification report with strong technical justifications and rationales.
• Provide a right level of technical data development and analysis for decision making
• Ensure new RM implementation is carried out with no post quality issue
• Manage related technical database storage for easy to use and traceability
• Able to lead RM technical initiatives (e.g., RSP, Competitive Complexity, etc.) by working with concerned functions for project achievements
• Collaborate with regional and global counterparts to acquire related RM knowledge and leverage best practices to deploy in SEA OE
• Develop talents in RMD team. Create supportive learning environment for RMD team’s capability building

Requirements

• B.Sc.Food/Master degree of science or related science
• Minimum 10 years of experience in food industry, R&D or Raw Material Development
• Regional/Global experiences in product development and/or raw material qualification
• Understanding of how RM functionality and nutrition would affect final product attributes and performances
• Logical thinking and apply technical rationales in trouble shooting and decision making
• Result-oriented with proven project success records
• Learning agility, project accountability, team collaboration for productive relationship
• Excellent English communication skills
