Senior Category Development Manager
About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise category management team by providing guideline and direction to drive category and Mars growth
• Develop category growth strategy and action plan based on Mars’ Law of Growth, and embed category growth mindset to both Mars and customers
• Support in terms of analysis and information regarding category management (such as new product introduction and listing, sales performance and assortment review, distribution opportunities, promotion effectiveness) to sales & marketing teams and customers
• Establish preferred supplier relationship with trade and customer via category management process
• Recommend merchandising guideline and strategies as a standard reference for all Mars sales associates and merchandisers
• Analyse data, establish and recommend channel and account strategies and opportunities to grow category and market share
• Develop and build capabilities of associates in team to be experts in category management in assigned category and customers
• Build Category Capability to Mars’s associate across functions
• Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related fields
• Fluent communication in both Thai and English
• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
• Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities
• Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues
• Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation
• Ability to work independently and communicate with Customer/Team members daily
• Good in MS office computer skill
• At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales or Marketing in FMCG business
• Ability to work with Space Management Program, Nielsen Answer, Dunnhumby, EYC
