Raw Material Development Scientist - Pak chong based
About this position
Raw material development specialist is responsible for developing new raw materials to support product launch, improve product function, support marketing claim and improve product recipe cost. The development process will work base on scientific research methodology in food/animal science in order to achieve AAFCO, WCPN, FEDIAF and Thai DLD standard regarding pet food ingredients.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the development and implementation of new raw materials which remain fit for purpose across the full product shelf-life.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining all raw material specifications, raw material handling SOP, Planraw, Raw material master list and Nutrition matrix
• Execute projects to deliver continuous improvement initiatives product designs in terms of COGs and product performance including:
- product palatability
- perceived consumer enjoyment
- nutrition
- functional claims, etc.
• Ensure that all raw materials used are inherently safe and meet all nutritional and regulatory requirements
• Develop the accurate understanding of raw material performance in product and process to operations.
• Project implemented within timeline and meet all success criteria and pass through proper process (Risk assessment).
• All related documents (specification, change management) are developed and communicated on time.
• Accurate raw material nutrition
• No raw material allegation concerning about regulation and food safety
• Contribute in developing new raw material specification, raw material handling SOP for Dry, Pouch and S&T factory.
• Recommend new raw material to Product Development team for Dry, Pouch and S&T factory.
• Decide on raw material development trial design, Nutrition Matrix set up.
Requirements
• B.Sc. food science or related science
• 1 – 3 years in food factory, research & development background is preferable.
• Fluent in English
• Good computer skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Teamwork player
• Good self-development and passion
• Good learning agility
