Project Engineer
About this position
This role supports the execution of capital projects in support of the GROWTH ambitions of PCH site. This is achieved through project management, co-ordination, standardization, and innovation to meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
• Formulating project parameters and assigning responsibilities to the most capable employees and monitoring the project team.
• Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status.
• Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
• Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.
• Establishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
• Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
• Support the execution of major capital projects and executes small minor capital projects. Recommend resourcing (people, cost, timings) requirements to enable the delivery of the identified business goals.
• Manage third party/contractors whilst controlling the associated risk.
• Manages key KPIs for projects and works with the Site Engineering manager to identify improved ways of working.
• Role model the application of Mars safety standards in order to safeguard our associates and the assets we use.
• Responsible to include both Mars and local external safety standards into production facilities in order to safeguard our associates and the assets we use. Escalate issues for regional and global learning as required to enable the identification and mitigation of risk elsewhere.
• Deploy the Mars Facilities Guidelines and local external standards to all facilities, ensuring they meet site security requirements and local regulatory compliance.
• Complete risk identification and change management processes for all projects that aligns with the regional process.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Proven working experience as a Project Engineer/ Project Development at least 5-7 years.
• Proficient in Microsoft Projects and Microsoft Office.
• Good project management skills with experiences in leading Capital project in a multinational manufacturing / FMCG environment.
• Supply experience in Engineering at a Site Level.
• Proven ability in delivering capital projects.
• Be fluent in English language (spoken and written).
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
