Process Development Senior Scientist
About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead test plan development, experimental setup, test execution, and data collection to quantify key process parameters at both pilot and factory scale.
• Perform data analysis using 6 sigma tools and identify and escalate needs for support on advanced data analysis.
• Deliver scalable process specifications collaboratively developed with Product Development and Supply Engineering to achieve product attribute targets and ensure superior product quality and food safety.
• Recommend, test and validate controls and measures for monitoring product key quality attributes where required, collaboratively with Product Development, Supply Engineering and Q&FS.
• Identify and evaluate innovative processing options based on product requirements including evaluation based on technical and economic feasibility.
• Provide technical support to Product Development, Quality, and Supply on new or existing processes, and work as part of the engineering team to assist in the management of scale-up risk and the introduction of new technology into the supply chain.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Preferred food, mechanical or chemical engineering).
• Ability to travel overseas 10-25% of the time.
• Strong working knowledge of engineering, food science, food manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles, statistics, and statistical process control.
• Ability to work independently and build networks required to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis methods.
