About this position

This Site Controls Engineer role is accountable for the site controls & automation leadership and project management of S/M CAB/OPEX execution for CHB Petcare Factory. He or She will lead respective Digital, Automation & Control technical value stream in CHB technical team to provide the Maintenance, Reliability, Technical development of Projects, Site SM CAB management to ensure high availability, performance and efficiency of factory control and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Controls, Automation, Factory IT & Digital systems upkeep, reliability and maintenance at the Chonburi plant, including coordination and implementation with project engineering, MGS Digital Technologies, support commissioning, FAT, SAT and start up. Taking over from project engineering team including requisite support structure set up for Instrumentation, MES (MOM), SCADA, PLC, Combined Plant wide Ethernet, Virtualisation, Wi-Fi, On premise industrial data center and Smart factory environment. Provides inputs to design for asset improvement by design.
• Tracks & Ensures Key KPIs of maintenance, performance are maintained within target for own area.
• Working with OEMs, contractors, Site team for existing automation install base, procurement and execution of small minor CAB/OPEX. Leading a team of automation contractors and technicians to manage a high paced, constantly evolving and improving digital landscape of CHB.
• Ensure adequate staffing of reliability controls team with the right level of qualification in key disciplines required and define clear roles and responsibilities for team members. Work with L&D to calibrate skill gap matrix for all resources and fulfill training & development needs.
• Task based communication with Region Technology leads and Engineers. Coordination of internal stake holders, such as Operation, logistics, Q&FS, R&D, IE, MGS DT etc.
• Digital technologies power users community champion.
• Drawings development, update and management for automation & electrical assets.
• Budget owner for Site Controls and manage budget as per target, participates in annual budgeting exercise.
• Support optimization of budget and TCO cost YoY.

Requirements

• Education & Professional Qualification University Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Greater than 2 years management skill with direct reports
• Work experience in design of LV electricals, Automation, especially experience in IT, Control, Process automation system, MES & Digitisation projects is an added advantage etc.
• Excellent MS-Office skills, SAP knowledge beneficial, Rockwell L7X, L3X PLCs, Rockwell Studio 5000, FTView SE must, PlantPax, FT CPG/Pharma suite or Siemens/GE/Plex/AVEVA/DOW MES, Rockwell Asset Center, VMware & HP Servers, Cisco network analyst & Thingworx added advantage.
