HSE Specialist
About this position
Responsibilities
• Workplace Safety and Environmental Protection: Ensure a safe work environment and minimize environmental impact through the use of PPE, conducting HIRADC and IADL assessments, performing inspections, and developing JSAs in collaboration with relevant departments
• Program Implementation: Implement and execute HSE programs developed in conjunction with relevant departments
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor legal compliance related to environmental and occupational health and safety regulations
• Reporting: Prepare internal and external reports related to occupational health, safety, and environmental performance
• HSE Activities: Conduct HSE inspections, manage daily and monthly work permits, facilitate toolbox meetings and safety talks, and conduct emergency drills
• Training and Communication: Develop and deliver programs to enhance employee skills and communication through safety talks, briefings, training sessions, and evacuation drills
• Occupational Health Support: Support initiatives related to occupational health programs
• Environmental Audits and Inspections: Conduct on-site environmental audits, measurements, and inspections to identify environmental issues, contamination, and hazardous material handling practices in collaboration with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities
• Waste Management: Manage 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) programs, temporary hazardous waste storage (TPS B3), and domestic wastewater treatment (WWT) systems (if applicable)
• Hazardous Materials Management: Manage hazardous materials (B3) and hazardous (B3) and non-hazardous waste related to work areas
• Contractor Safety Management: Implement contractor safety management systems, including field implementation and administration
• Environmental Reporting: Prepare and submit environmental reports, including RKL/RPL, Festronik, and Simple reports
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Specialist in a manufacturing or automotive environment
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Experience conducting risk assessments (HIRADC, IAD)
