About this position

As a Battery Control Engineer at MAKA Motors, you will be responsible for optimizing battery performance throughout its lifecycle, focusing on design, testing, and collaboration to ensure safety and efficiency in battery management systems.

Responsibilities

• Battery Optimization: Design and test control algorithms to maximize battery lifespan and ensure safety.
• Collaboration: Work with Motor Control Engineers to integrate the battery management system with motor systems for efficient power management.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure the battery management system meets industry standards and regulatory requirements for reliability and safety.
• Design and Testing: Develop detailed battery management system designs and conduct both simulated and real-world tests to validate functionality.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Advanced education or certifications in battery technology, energy storage systems, and microcontrollers (highly beneficial).
• Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in battery management system development or a related field. Hands-on experience with battery testing, characterization, CAN communication protocol, and failure analysis.
• Project Involvement: Prior involvement in research or industrial projects focusing on advanced battery technologies.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify technical challenges, and translate insights into actionable solutions.
• Communication and Collaboration: Effective in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and working in cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability and Technological Proficiency: Flexible to adapt to evolving technology trends and project requirements. Proficient in simulation tools for performance and safety analysis.
• Battery Expertise: In-depth knowledge of battery chemistries, materials, design, development, testing, and characterization methods. Expertise in evaluating battery cell performance and degradation mechanisms.
• Regulatory and Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to battery cells and energy storage.
