Test Engineer / Senior
About this position
Responsibilities
• Programming automated testing software for optical device with (GPIB, Ethernet, USB, etc) equipment.
• Development automate test process.
• Collaborating with engineers in the R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, to help meet or exceed the product requirement.
• Deal with data analysis and statistics for product development.
• Support product qualification testing process.
• Provide support of technical issues at all product lifecycle.
• Provide support product transfer from oversea.
Requirements
• Bachelors/Master/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Science field.
• 3-10 years’ work experience in high technology work environment, optical and/or electronics in manufacturing.
• Experience with Python, LabVIEW, HTML, SQL, C# programming.
• Experience of test automation to interact with device under test and test equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with conflicting priorities.
• An excellent communicator, both verbally and writing in English.
• Data analysis skills, problem solving – familiarity with databases, statistical analysis.
• Understanding of Lean and Six-Sigma concepts and statistics, such as SPC, GR&R.
• Knowledge of assembly, Test, equipment capabilities, reliability and/or fundamental of Optical material.
• Experience in telecommunication product such as fiber optic line card, module and/or component would be considered an asset.
• Hands-on debug skills, able to troubleshoot issues and determine the cause of a plan’s success or failure.
