EHS Specialist
About this position
The EHS Specialist will lead environmental programs, manage safety initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulations while providing training and support for EHS activities.
Responsibilities
• Lead environmental program for the site (Air pollution, Wastewater, Waste management, Energy conservation and GHG emission & reduction)
• Manage and control environmental monitoring and complete it per regulation requirement.
• Manage and maintain the implementation of contactor safety program for the site.
• Develop and conduct EHS rule and regulation training session to contactor.
• Establish and maintain EHS related document and procedure.
• Conduct EHS inspection in responsible area and follow up finding closure.
• Conduct incident investigation with concerned party and follow up finding closure.
• Prepare and submit all concerned EHS report to corporate and local authorities.
• Conduct EHS committee monthly meeting.
• Participate in customer visit and audit.
• Support emergency response program, 5S and ISO14001 and ISO 45001 certification.
• To be EHS internal trainer and EHS internal auditor.
• Leading related function for risk assessment and environmental aspect identification.
• To support EHS buy-off activity for new project/process, project/process improvement and including machine/equipment installation.
• To support radiation safety, electrical safety and LOTO program.
• Monitor and provide EHS training to onsite contractor such as Janitor, Food service provider, Security etc.
• Communicate EHS knowledge to employee via designated communication channel.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or higher or possess Professional Safety Certification.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in environmental health and safety in manufacturing filed.
• Good command of English in both oral and written communication skills.
• Have experience and knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001 (OHSAS18001), Energy conservation, 5s and 3Rs.
• Have knowledge and experience on over all of EHS training program and also have experience for facilitating the training to employee.
• Have experience and knowledge about contractor safety program.
• Have experience in leading of safety committee.
• Have experience in conducting risk assessment, environmental aspect identification, incident investigation and emergency drill.
• Have experience and knowledge in emergency response, machine/equipment safety, electrical safety and LOTO.
• Able to work independently and team environment.
• Flexibility to support company in urgent case.
• Have good communication skill and ability to handle multiple task with sense of urgency.
• Possess related certification will be an advantage such as hazardous substance controller, radiation safety officer and pollution controller.
