About this position

Acts as a point of contact and liaison among business to elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business products; processes and systems. May also be a liaison to external customers and third-party suppliers/vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze product activity in their assigned features and/or workstreams, including the elicitation, analysis and documentation of business needs in order to formulate business requirements at the Feature, Epic and User Story levels for each workstream.
• Self-manages their own day-to-day activities of product ownership and analysis.
• Builds a strong relationship with all stakeholders, ensuring that product ownership activities and products are clearly communicated.
• Works closely with architects & developers to ensure solution designs meet business requirements, including non-functional requirements.
• Ensures RAID log(s) are updated with related risks, issues and dependencies for their workstreams and/or team.
• Models sophisticated business processes and suggests process improvements as required.

Requirements

• Product ownership (or business analysis) experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (Agile / Scrum and Waterfall).
• Financial services domain knowledge is ideal, preferably financial markets and fixed income.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with senior members of staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Jira / Confluence / Excel.
• SQL knowledge beneficial.
