Application Support Consultant
About this position
LSEG is seeking an Application Support Consultant to join their team and assist in supporting their product. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Investigate software functionalities problems raised by customers and internal teams for Production and Integration Environment.
• Collaborate with development teams, products management team and other related parties to resolve product technical problems.
• Work with customer support teams, content operation teams to find a solution for customer issues.
• Provide immediate technical assistance to global service operation teams for major service outage and aim to rectify and recover the service.
• Provide expertise recommendation to service improvement, software verification and release.
• Documentation and Develop and sustain team's knowledge in the responsible products and any required technologies as well as other products development/support team that are required in solving issues.
Requirements
• At least 3 years hands-on experience in a related technical role or technical support work in troubleshooting and investigating IT system/application incidents and possess the following key technical knowledge and skills:
• AWS(or AZURE) - CloudWatch, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, SQS/SNS, EC2 & ECS
• Tools – Web Developer Tools, Postman, Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, Jenkins or RunDeck.
• Windows System, IIS, SQL Servers & SQL Commands
• Hand-on Unix/Linux/Sun Solaris skill and shell programming would be a plus
• Basic understanding of ASP.NET, .NET Core, SOAP/REST-full API, JSON, XML, tools for investigating HTTP requests
• Excellent command in written and spoken English
• Able to work under high pressure and deal with out-of-normal office hours support.
• Effectively work as a team and coordinate both within and outside own team
• Sound analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under time constraints
• Self-motivated and self-learning and able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
