Assistant Demand Planning Manager
About this position
The Assistant Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for facilitating the monthly forecast process, ensuring consistency in global forecast, collaborating with various units to improve forecasts, managing inventory levels, and developing requirements for targeted inventory turns and customer service levels.
Responsibilities
• Be the facilitator of the monthly forecast process & to provide consistent analysis of the forecast accuracy
• Ensure the consistency and the consensus on global forecast in volume versus the sales forecast, the controlling trend and historical sales
• Working collaboratively with the sales, marketing and trading units to understand and deliver the brand/ customer requirements and to improve and deliver accurate, robust and timely forecasts
• Ensure the risks and opportunities would be address properly for further decision making
• Reporting on and managing the inventory levels, highlighting risks and actions
• Manage all activities necessary to develop requirements for the businesses that will drive targeted inventory turns and sustain required customer service levels
• Proactively raise or alert commercial for the SLOB, potential SLOB including driving commercial on SLOB clearance
• Identify and develop new ideas & lead projects that improve demand /supply planning & inventory processes
Requirements
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics or related
• Demand planning experience is critical with sales forecasting process development a major benefit
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with willingness and ability to challenges assumptions drive change and improvement
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate decision-making across the Marketing, Sales, Logistics, and Finance etc.
• MS. Office i.e. Excel (If cause, PIVOT, Vlookup, Power Point)
