Retail Design & Visual Merchandising Manager

Responsibilities
• Adaptation and Implementation: Adapt global brand spatial concepts to meet local market needs and the specific requirements of various retail formats, including department stores, health and beauty stores, and pop-up locations. Develop and implement effective merchandising solutions for testers, free-standing displays, and point-of-sale materials aligned with local marketing strategies.
• Pop-Up Store Development: Spearhead the design and execution of innovative and engaging pop-up store experiences, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and maximizing impact within temporary retail spaces. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and logistics for pop-up installations and removals.
• Department Store and Health & Beauty Retail Execution: Develop and implement impactful visual merchandising strategies tailored to the unique characteristics of department store and health & beauty retail environments. Optimize brand presence and product visibility within these key retail channels.
• Local Material Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of local-specific materials, from conception and production through delivery and installation, across all retail touchpoints. This includes managing vendors, timelines, and budgets.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all design and production activities adhere to relevant technical and legal requirements, including safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of visual merchandisers. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, supporting team members in acquiring new skills and adapting to organizational changes.
• Budget Management: Manage the visual merchandising budget effectively, tracking expenditures, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Internal Processes: Ensure compliance with L'Oréal's internal purchasing processes and procedures.
• Market Analysis and Insights: Stay abreast of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities. Leverage category shopper insights to inform visual merchandising strategies and optimize turnover and profitability.
• Retailer Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers across various channels. Gather and analyze comprehensive knowledge about each retailer, influence their decision-making, and collaborate across functions to develop joint business plans that drive mutual success.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related design field.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• 5-7 years of experience.
