Leader, FSSC Accounting COE
About this position
This role will be responsible for the implementation of a financial shared service center including the use of BPO (Business Process Outsource), by establishing a Financial Shared Service Centre hereinafter called FSSC, the company would like to achieve the following objectives.
Responsibilities
• Manage routine RTR (GL), PTP (AP) and OTC (AR) process management, to make sure smooth daily operations.
• Align with APAC process owners or other country best practice to drive the process standardization and efficiency.
• Manage issues and communications between BPO and local finance team, to have a periodic meeting with Local finance leaders to detect/solve accounting related issues, include continual improvement and voice of customer.
• Keep optimizing processes and service level agreement with BPO.
• Perform the 100% Balance sheet account review and reconciliations, and make sure there is no significant risk and exposures related with compliance and control.
• Ensure daily/closing activities and reporting packages to Japan HQ.
• Be responsible for all Internal, statutory audits and J-SOX, and make sure there is no significant findings and audit adjustments.
• Be Bank authorizer for bank payments.
• Be the key contact person for local authorities, handle and support tax matters under Global tax function management.
• Perform ad hoc tasks, continual improvement initiatives and projects management.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 - 8 years of background and history of demonstrating global business acumen with experience in working in a multinational, matrix driven organization.
• Big 4 experience or BPO R2R experience, with hands-on experience in designing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and BPO project implementation.
• Knowledge of SAP systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A hands-on experience for accounting management.
• Experience to work for IFRS and J-SOX and any kind of internal control system equivalent to J-SOX.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative with peers and colleagues to drive involvement and engagement.
• Attitude and aptitude to thrive in a fast-moving, demanding, dynamic environment, with the personal integrity to make positive change even when it challenges the status.
• Requires traveling for regional meetings up to 10% of total work time.
