The Trade Marketing Executive for Traditional Trade is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring trade marketing strategies to drive sales, brand visibility, and market share in the traditional trade segment (e.g., local stores, wholesalers, and distributors). The role requires close collaboration with marketing teams, sales teams, distributors, and retailers to ensure effective execution of marketing activities.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute trade marketing plans to align with business goals.
• Design and implement promotional campaigns and trade offers to boost sales.
• Identify opportunities to grow the brand in traditional trade channels.
• Work closely with distributors and retailers to maximize product availability and visibility.
• Negotiate placements, promotions, and in-store displays in traditional retail outlets.
• Oversee the implementation of point-of-sale materials, in-store promotions, and product activations.
• Manage events like retailer incentive programs and trade fairs.
• Analyze market trends, sales performance, and competitor activities in the traditional trade segment.
• Provide regular performance reports and insights to stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to marketing strategies based on data.
• Work with Marketing teams to align trade marketing strategies with sales objectives.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of promotional materials and products.
• Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in trade marketing, preferably in FMCG or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of traditional trade channels and their dynamics.
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
