About this position

Accounting Manager is responsible for managing team of accounting professional to accurately and timely delivery of financial records, closing activities and reporting comply to relevant law and regulation and best practice. The candidates should possess strong accounting, taxation, internal control knowledge. Scope of responsibility to this role currently include group of companies approx. 11 companies and will be more in future from new business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accuracy, completeness and timeliness delivery and submission of accounts and reports of month/yearend closing, group yearend package, statutory reports, tax filing.
• Ensure account recording is in compliance with local and international Accounting Standard and Group Accounting policy
• Work in conjunction with internal stakeholders so that managerial report package can be delivered in high quality and explainable for all underlying reasons
• Manage to ensure accurate balance sheet and necessary P/L reconciliation available on monthly basis
• Support internal stakeholder, finance director, local operations and regional finance team on all accounting, tax and internal control matters
• Liaising with tax and statutory auditors regarding tax refund and year end audit
• Ensure implementation and compliance of sound internal control framework in all accounting activities
• Manage all necessary records and actions to ensure safeguard of companies’ asset include maintenance and monitoring of insurance activities and relevant analysis with concerned parties where required
• Manage and control cashflow and intercompany transactions and coordinate with regional and head quarter team if needed
• Support finance controller in monitoring of financing related activities e.g. loan/hire purchase, analysis & negotiation with banks and relevant internal stakeholders
• Support FP&A and commercial team to provide data for analysis and modelling purpose
• Manage and supervise team of accounting professional to ensure high quality, capability and agility at all times.
• Be centre of excellent in term of accounting, tax and internal control to internal stakeholders both at head office and sites.
• Initiate and implement cost saving, efficiency and process improvement ideas include but not limited to accounting and tax areas
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• At least bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 5-year experience as assistant/manager of accounting and Experience with BIG 4 is preferrable.
• Possess CPD license is a must (CPA and/or IBC knowledge is a plus)
• Be able to communicate in English.
• Excellent skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, SAP and TM1 is a plus.
• Able to deal effectively with complex issues or owned some persuasive communication skill
• Strong in TFRS, IFRS and Tax regulations
• Communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, both orally and written.
• Accounting, taxation and internal control
• Proficient in MS office. Experience in SAP and TM1 is a plus
