Application Technology Engineer (Food & Beverage)
About this position
The Application Technology Engineer (Food & Beverage) is responsible for acquiring new sales in the F&B market segments, collaborating with local sales teams, and developing technical competence in line with agreed priorities.
Responsibilities
• Acquire new sales in the F&B market segments:
• identify the most relevant areas of growth
• propose and coordinate specific campaigns (PSO)
• develop a technical proposal to acquire new business
• establish and maintain an extensive country network with food business.
• Collaborate with the local sales force in the area of competence:
• contact new and existing customers to present Linde application portfolio
• define the best optimum customer technical solution
• manage the interface with regional/global teams (if necessary)
• prepare the commercial offer in collaboration with the local sales team
• present the offer in front of the customer
• run test trials at customer site (if require)
• Develop technical competence of the local sales teams in line with agreed priorities
Requirements
• Outstanding knowledge in food processes (Food freezing & chilling)
• Ability to organize and run practical project at customer sites
• Strong business acumen and sales capabilities
• Good communication skills
• Good knowledge in written and spoken English
• Qualified at least bachelor’s degree in food science/technology/engineering. Business qualification like an MBA is a plus.
• Previous (5 years+) experience in one or more of the following industries:
• Food business (roles in production/maintenance/engineering)
• engineering company involved in food project
• equipment suppliers for food business (Food freezing & chilling)
• industrial gas company (roles in sales/application technology for F&B)
• Active membership to national food frozen professional association is a plus
