About this position
Responsibilities
• Establishing effective plans and procedures for monitoring & following up the results of safety, security and environmental aspects to comply with legal and company requirements.
• Providing an effective Safety, Security & Environment programme relating to improving the quality of the working environment.
• Creating and promoting various activities relating to increasing Safety and Environment awareness.
• Developing programmes to ensure the Company’s compliance with safety-related regulations and loss prevention standards and guidelines.
• Conducting claim investigations and evaluating risk management; identifying and recommending preventive measures and corrective actions and reporting.
• Performing regular physical inspections of buildings, equipment, and operations; identifying hazards and recommending corrective measures.
• Monitoring and providing ongoing safety and loss prevention training to various departments to reduce the frequency and severity of accidental losses.
• Review and implement environmental technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations that meet all appropriate requirements.
• Develop or implement programs for monitoring of environmental pollution or radiation.
• Submit reports to the government as required by local legislation.
• Provide scientific or technical guidance, support, coordination, or oversight to governmental agencies, environmental programs, industry, or the public.
• Carry out with Group Occupational Health & Safety function, monthly meeting or system audits as necessary.
• Assume the role of in-house Health & Safety trainer for some relevant Health and Safety programmes.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in relevant areas of Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• 5 years working experience which must have a legal professional safety officer certificate.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills are required.
• Good computer literacy and Good command of English language.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of effective Environmental and OH&S management comply with ISO standards (ISO14001 – ISO45001).
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules.
