About this position

The Design Engineer (CAD/CAM/CAE) position involves supporting design activities, ensuring production stability, and achieving departmental goals through effective design and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

•Reported to Technical Development Manager to support design activities, to ensure stable of the production process and to help achieve department goals and/or KPI’s matrices.
•Provide design support new model and/or optimization tooling, equipment and process with create the drawing under of design function to meet the company goal objective.
•Simulation the design on CAE to ensure that design will conform according specification and customer requirement.
•Convert the CAD to CAM program for CNC machine with including to support during buyoff and/or trial to confirm the result of that design.
•Ability to create/build custom work instruction / procedures / reports to support the business.
•Establish engineering, production and quality control standards after design to meet with quality and customer requirements.
•Provide design support for process improvement opportunities that will result in improved labor efficiency, safety, productivity, promote cost reduction and etc.
•Ensure all established safety, quality, delivery and cost commitments are met.
•Work closely with engineering and quality to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
•Be able to stand by in case of production problems which need to be fixed on urgent basis.

Requirements

•Bachelor of Tool design, Mold/Die design, Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related field.
•1 - 3 years minimum experience working for tooling design or related field.(Experience working with CAD/CAM/CAE, preferably Siemen PLM NX are advantage).
•Minimum 1 years’ experience within a CAD/CAM/CAE or tooling design or manufacturing systems support role.
•Software distribution management software, hardware or related equipment.
•Strong in analytical skills.
•Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
•Ability to think strategically and to scope tasks and set goals. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning as well as tactical execution.
•Proven team working and teambuilding skills.
•Knowledge of conventional machining and/or CNC are required.
•Knowledge of the Siemen PLM NX, Teamcenter, FMEA and GD&T are advantage.
•Good command of English language in reading, written and oral communication are advantage. GD&T, CAD/CAE/CAM, Coordination, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, DOE, FMEA.
