About this position

The Product Engineer (NPD Support) is responsible for determining process and equipment requirements for new or changed products, leading design and realization of tools, and ensuring product validation throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

• Determine and specify process and equipment requirements for new or changed products.
• Lead Design and realization of new tool & jigs and Fabricating prototypes for testing.
• Plan & perform DOEs for new product assemblies to determine optimal design and process.
• Make a product and process validation plan.
• Provide Process & Product validation documentation.
• Testing products throughout the design process to troubleshoot any potential problems.
• Fine-tuning designs until they are ready for production.
• Monitor and analyze the process capability and yield during trial run or validation.
• Transferring and training new processes and products to Production.
• Collaborate in the Continuous Improvement Process for all manufacturing processes.
• Create and release all required manufacturing documents for new and changed products.
• Developing quality control criteria and safety guidelines and ensuring that all team members adhere to them.
• Report monthly and review any documents related before submitting them to management.
• Provide knowledge to team timely.
• Coordinate with internal and external to update new product or regulation including build up network.
• Improve procedure, work instruction and master plan under requirement of ISO9001, GMP, SMETA, C_TPAT, COSTCO, HIGG and others required etc.
• Report progress and result to supervisory periodically.
• Build-up team’s satisfaction and good working environment.
• Make plans for expense and investment plan.
• Take responsibilities and perform tasks and duties as assigned by the superiors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Engineering or similar field.
• 6+ years Product Development or Product Innovation experience.
• Technical project management experience and expertise.
• Translating Insights Into product execution (Idea to concept to execution).
• Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols.
• Experience with 3D modeling software and report writing programs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills - English (written/verbal).
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate with other personnel is required.
• Self-disciplined and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS project, any ERP.
