About this position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance efforts, managing team roles during breakdowns, and ensuring effective maintenance practices through data analysis and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on breakdown maintenance efforts with the maintenance team.
• Assign roles and responsibilities for team members during breakdown responses.
• Maintain detailed records of breakdown incidents and repairs to identify trends.
• Assess maintenance tasks for potential outsourcing opportunities.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to selected vendors.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and manage relationships to ensure quality service delivery.
• Implement and manage predictive maintenance programs using data analytics and condition monitoring tools.
• Analyze historical and real-time data to predict equipment failures and schedule proactive maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engineering teams to enhance predictive maintenance capabilities.
• Oversee the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels.
• Establish processes for inventory tracking and reorder points based on usage rates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers for timely procurement of parts.
• Create and manage purchase requisitions for maintenance supplies and services.
• Develop and implement an efficient approval workflow for procurement processes.
• Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation/Control Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance management or a related role.
• Experience in predictive maintenance and inventory management is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
