Continuous Improvement Engineer
About this position
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading process development, managing change, and implementing operational improvements in collaboration with stakeholders and the Continuous Improvement team.
Responsibilities
• Leading in developing processes and collaborating with stakeholders to manage change while implementing operational improvements and facilitating projects, both production-related and non-production-related, in collaboration with the local leadership and the Continuous Improvement team.
• Participating in the CI Team to improve production flow, quality in the process, process, standardization, safety, line feeding, manufacturing layouts, and innovation projects.
• Design, Create, and drive the standardization of operation and implementation of metrics and best practices.
• Improvement of production working process by implementing Lean methodology, 8 Wastes Management, Visual management to standardize processes and layout, Poka-Yoke, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), Problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
• Manage and lead continuous improvement projects CI Programs as well as be a consultant for CI team members.
• Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by actively supervising activities that aim to raise standards all around LCMT.
• Focus on improving manufacturing safety and setting standards while promoting safety awareness throughout the organization.
• Improves processes by proposing ideas, projects of digitalization and automation (process and quality enhancements, flexibility and scalability).
• Update the team on an ongoing basis of significant new initiatives or deviations within manufacturing and report the status of the overall project portfolio and individual projects regularly to the CI manager or the leadership team, according to the projects.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Production/Manufacturing)
• At least 3 years' experience in the manufacturing process
• Self-starter with analytical skills, able to identify problems and/or opportunities for improvement, assess viable solutions, and develop and execute complex projects and comprehensive action plans.
• Solid background in manufacturing technical skills: Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, control plan, MSA, SPC, DOE.
• Good leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Effective communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
• Good command of English written and spoken
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Able to work Mon-Fri and alternate Saturday
