About this position

The Retail Buyer (Mandarin Speaker) is responsible for managing relationships with key brand partners and suppliers, driving sales through business analysis, and optimizing the portfolio's P&L. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage & maintain the relationship between Lazada, key brand partners & suppliers.
• Identifies ways to drive sales through business analysis and ensures action is taken to maximize sales potential.
• Responsible for optimizing the P&L of the portfolio and ensuring that promotions delivered are competitive and relevant to the target market.
• Track and optimize input metrics in sourcing, pricing, and traffic to ensure healthy inventory movement.
• Work closely with brand partners to improve co-investment in marketing solutions and promotion mechanics.
• Coordinate negotiations of key commercial term and conditions.
• Sharing your current take of brand positioning and delivering comprehensive trend knowledge and industry insight to encapsulate our individuality in our offering.
• Analyze commercial performance and operation metrics of brands in the program, and provide relevant solutions to optimize brand performance.

Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin language.
• Open to fresh graduates. Preferred candidates will have at least one year of professional experience, ideally in roles such as sales, account management, buyer, procurement, retail, or business development.
• Previous experience related to commerce or sales, and direct client-facing roles are highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to effectively analyze data, create reports, and deliver compelling presentations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, result-oriented and able to problem solve as well as multi task well.
