About this position
Responsibilities
• Network Design & Optimization:
• Analyze and model logistics network performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, improved delivery times, and operational efficiency.
• Propose and implement network changes such as new routes, hub placements, or partner integration plans.
• Capacity Planning:
• Forecast demand for logistics capacity at a regional and national level, considering factors such as seasonality and growth trends.
• Ensure the network is designed to handle peak periods without compromising service levels.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Use data from multiple sources (internal systems, partner data, market analysis) to provide actionable insights on network performance.
• Prepare and present reports on KPIs such as delivery time, cost per shipment, and coverage growth.
• Collaboration with Teams:
• Work with the Partnership team to identify areas where third-party delivery partners can fill gaps in the network.
• Coordinate with the Hub Build team to align network needs with in-house infrastructure investments.
• Support Operations teams by providing data-driven recommendations to address inefficiencies.
• Strategic Expansion Planning:
• Identify underserved regions and propose strategies to expand LEX’s network coverage, including in-house and third-party solutions.
• Assess the financial and operational viability of new hub locations or delivery routes.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor industry trends and benchmarks to identify opportunities for innovation in logistics planning.
• Propose tools and systems to improve network planning accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics network planning, operations, or data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL or similar analytics software.
• Knowledge of logistics and transportation planning, particularly in last-mile operations.
