Procurement Officer/Supervisor
About this position
The Procurement Officer/Supervisor is responsible for managing negotiations with third parties, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Manage negotiation with third parties and liaise with legal and key stakeholders to ensure favorable commercial terms and mitigate business risk.
• Support Procurement lead with cost savings initiatives and the day-to-day management of key stakeholders and executing deals according to policy and agreed timelines (i.e. PR, PO, create new vendor, etc.).
• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases and maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing, and other related documents.
• Sourcing, negotiate, review, and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options to develop plan for purchasing equipment, services and supplies to ensure all procurement processes are accurate and align with standard guideline and direction.
• Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
• Develop, maintain, verify, and evaluate all records to ensure compliance with financial, legal or company requirements and regulations.
• Provide overall oversight/review on procurement and vendor management. Monitor the vendor performance and contract implementation to ensure the procurement initiatives meet with relevant policies, regulations, and code of ethics.
• Revisit & propose procurement policies, procedures and forms/ templates/ reports to supervisor for consideration.
• Build and actively maintain vendor database with marketplace information including past experiences of the Company using that vendor, pricing, quality, and reliability for purchasing departments' reference.
