About this position

The Air Freight Reservation Assistant / Division Manager is responsible for overseeing cargo reservation processes, managing relationships with carriers, ensuring efficient air cargo shipments, and leading a team to optimize productivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager control process of cargo reservation to ascertain where costs (ad hoc) can be competed and in line with trade lane and airlines strategy.
• Dealing and developing relationship with carriers, Control direct (carriers) cost efficiently.
• Ensure efficient and prompt air cargo shipments.
• Negotiate and request airlines for competitive rate.
• Attend any internal meeting with Customer Service /Sales or etc when required and delegate to team.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales and console team when there is any issue.
• Plan space efficiently for huge spot / regular business volume.
• Monitor booking & planning for the efficient consolidation.
• Review the correctness of rate applicable in UFS.
• Monitor the usage of Mawb of booking staff.
• Coach team member to generate most benefit productivity work and remove non-profitability work.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economic, International Business, Logistics or related fields.
• Year of experience: Minimum 5 years working experience in air freight forwarding industry.
• Good knowledge of Air freight forwarder business.
• Good command of English, both of written and spoken.
• Good services mind and ability to motivate and work in fast moving, pressure environment.
• Strong interpersonal management skills.
• Strong leadership skill, can manage large group of people.
• Problem Solving & Decision Making.
• Proactive 'can-do' attitude.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
